Gleaned from my computer a few minutes ago, here's a Top Tip for all you emailers out there. As a general rule, this salutation does not go with this opening sentence:


Hi all!

Mr and Mrs X's son has committed suicide.


Sweet. Merciful. Crap.


At least it didn't close with "Smell ya later!"
